Pyramid of the Sun

The pyramid of the Sun is one of the largest structures in Mexico. It is believed that it was built during the phase called “Tzacualli” (1-115 aD) and later named “Tonatiuh itzacual” (The Sun lockdown) by the Aztecs, therefore it is known as the Pyramid of the Sun. Once you climb up its 65 metres, you will be amazed by its fantastic view from the top.

Pyramid of the Moon

The pyramid of the Moon, located in the north of the archaeological site, is the second biggest structure. Although it is recognized as the Temple of the Moon, it is thought to be dedicated to the Goddess of water, known in the Nahua culture as Chalchiuhtlicue.
